We ate our last breakfast at the H10 Art Gallery hotel. We gathered our bags, checked out of the hotel, and walked a short half block to the taxi stand where we caught a cab to the Barcelona airport. We had a short Air France flight to Paris where we boarded a Boeing 777 for our flight to Dulles. The flight was smooth, abet a kind of rough landing at Dulles, and service onboard was good.
We had purchased a Global Traveler clearance from customs which abled us to breeze through customs at Dulles. As usual, there was one glitch. Our neighbor Kathy who was to pick us up at the airport, had the wrong date on her calendar. Turns out she was flying to Las Vegas today. Fortunately we were aware of the problem and called for a Uber ride which was quick and reasonably priced. Our son Chuck offered to drive us home but it wouldn’t have been fair to his family.
I’ll quit boring you and leave with they few observations:
The rain in Spain must mainly actually be on the plain because the weather couldn’t be better.
Three days is not nearly enough time to explore Barcelona mush less Spain. It’s a great place to visit.
I will most likely never take a cruise on any other cruise lines than Viking and Oceania.
Oceania is the best cruise line that I have sailed on! It is casual elegance with food that is hard to beat!
Thank you for following us on this journey.
